LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Week 1 of the high school football season is in the books.
In our Game of the Week, Lincoln Lutheran retained the spirit sword trophy in a 28-26 thrilling victory over Lincoln Christian.
The Warriors (1-0) faced a deficit of 8-7 in the second quarter, and the game would be closely contested throughout. Christian (0-1) had a chance late to take the lead with a two-point conversion, but did not find the end zone.
From there, Lutheran was able to hold on by the winning margin.
