Two gorillas are calling a new location in Lincoln home

Two gorillas had been weathering the storm for nearly two decades before they found a new home in Lincoln.
Gary Mayo was the original owner of the gorillas which were outside of Guns 2 Roses near North 1st and O Street.
Mayo closed his doors in November and put the gorillas up for sale.
The picture below is what the gorillas originally looked like.

“The gorillas were actually here before I arrived in Lincoln so they kind of adopted me, so I am part of their family,” said Madhouse Manager, Mac Loebig. “It is really cool to find out their story.”
Madhouse is a trampoline park in the Speedway Village area. There grand opening is on Friday where you can check out these two apes.
The concrete sculptures were refurbished before an artist from Chicago came to paint them. They weigh nearly 1,500 pounds.
“At the Madhouse we are about supporting all youth, sports, performing arts and as you can see, this is art,” said Madhouse Operating Officer, Dan Eberhardt. “We just want people to have fun and have their families be part of this.”
They will announce the names of the gorillas at their grand opening at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
