Fake active threat report puts Aurora High School on immediate lockdown
AURORA, Neb. (KLKN) — The Aurora Police Department (APD) is investigating a fake report of an active threat at Aurora High School.
The report came into dispatch around 8: 20 a.m. today, stating there was a threat at the high school.
The school administration was notified and the school went directly into lockdown.
When APD arrived, the school was secured and searched with the assistance of the school administration staff. No threat was identified. According to APD, officers searched Aurora Middle School to be safe.
The investigation is ongoing. APD asks anyone with information to contact them at 402-694-5815.
