Nebraska volleyball sweeps New Mexico in home opener, improves to 5-0

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A dominant performance by No. 1 Nebraska on Thursday at the Devaney Center led the Huskers to a 25-12, 25-13, 25-15 sweep of New Mexico in the seasons home opener.

Big Red (5-0) got out to a 10-0 start in the opening frame to set the tone right away.

Manaia Ogbechie and Teraya Sigler led the way for Nebraska with nine kills each, while Harper Murray picked up eight. Ogbechie also recorded five blocks.

The Huskers hit .356 in Thursday’s win, while only holding New Mexico to .046.

Nebraska is back in action Friday night at the Devaney Center against No. 20 Baylor, first serve is set for 7 p.m.
