No. 1 Nebraska overcomes adversity in win over Georgia Tech

LINCOLN (KLKN) – Despite losing their first set of the season, Manaia Ogbechie’s 12 kills and Bergen Reily’s double-double propelled the Huskers to a 3-1 victory over Georgia Tech Saturday afternoon at the Devaney Center.

The Huskers continued their long stretch of gamedays, playing New Mexico and Baylor all at home this week.

With the 2006 National Championship team in the building, the 2026 Huskers wanted to continue to write history of their own – trying to remain perfect in the sets-won column.

The unranked Yellow Jackets fought hard in the first set, causing Nebraska some issues early on. Georgia Tech won the first set 26-24, but from there, Nebraska found its spark.

Big Red then went on to win set two 25-17, set three 25-18, and proved why they are number one in set four, taking it 25-12.

Nebraska will look to remain undefeated on Wednesday, as it welcomes rival Creighton to Pinnacle Bank Arena at 6 p.m. in front of a sold-out crowd.
