Anthony Colandrea throws for 4 TDs, offense puts up 549 total yards in Nebraska rout of Bowling Green

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Behind an offensive clinic and stout defensive play, Nebraska football stormed past Bowling Green 56-7 Saturday night at Memorial Stadium.

Quarterback Anthony Colandrea threw four touchdown passes in the win, two each going to Jacory Barney Jr. and Kwazi Gilmer. Barney showed out, hauling in eight catches for 115 yards, as well.

Additionally, Nebraska’s (2-0) offense totaled 549 yards, while the defense held the Falcons (0-2) to only 169 yards. The Husker defense forced two turnovers, Donovan Jones picked off Falcons QB Jay Kastantin in the first, while Derek Wacker scooped up a fumble and scored on the play in the fourth quarter.

Big Red will look to make an unbeaten non-conference slate next Saturday night at Memorial Stadium against North Dakota. Kickoff is at 6:15 p.m.
