Nebraska ranked 39th best state to be a teacher in new study
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — WalletHub released a recent study after finding which states are best and worst for a teaching career.
Nebraska was ranked 39th in the list. Nebraska was also ranked 46th in opportunity and competition and 16th in academic and work environment.
The factors that determined the rankings were compensation, tenure protections, state spending per student, school-system quality and turnover rates.
Washington was ranked first while Hawaii was ranked last.
