No. 1 Nebraska volleyball holds No. 20 Creighton to negative hitting percentage in straight-set win

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The nation’s top-ranked volleyball team showed stifling defense in Wednesday’s 25-13, 25-15, 25-19 straight-set win over No. 20 Creighton, as No. 1 Nebraska (8-0) held the Blue Jays (5-5) to a hitting percentage of -0.033.

Right before the match, it was announced that sophomore standout Manaia Ogbechie – who was recently honored as Big Ten player of the week – would not be in the lineup. Enter Kenna Cogill.

The fellow sophomore was one of three Huskers to log eight kills in the win – a career-high for Cogill – while also recording a personal hitting percentage of .727.

Andi Jackson led Big Red with nine kills and five block assists.

Next up, Nebraska welcomes in No. 25 North Carolina to the Devaney Center at 7 p.m.
