Shotgun and shells found in student’s vehicle at Southeast High School

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Today, officials at Southeast High School found a shotgun and shells in a student’s vehicle.

Staff was doing a parking enforcement in one of the parking lots when the discovery was made.

The School Resource Officer and Lincoln Police Department (LPD) were immediately contacted. After investigation, it was determined there was no threat towards the school or students.

The student was arrested. Southeast High School principal Tanner Penrod said the student will also face school consequences.
