Lincoln man arrested for solicitation of a child and attempted human trafficking
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) has arrested a 29-year-old Lincoln man in connection to an operation targeting sex buyers and offenders who intended to meet children for sexual relations.
According to KBI, agents coordinated operations on Sept. 17 and 18 in Riley and Geary counties.
The agents arrested 19 suspects. Eleven of the suspects were arrested for electronic solicitation of a child and attempted aggravated human trafficking including the Lincoln man, whose name is not being released.
The Lincoln man is expected to face federal charges, according to KBI.
The other eight suspects were arrested for buying sexual relations and unlawful use of a communications facility.
KBI said no children were victimized during the operation. Three potential sex trafficking victims were offered advocacy services and user-level narcotics were located and seized.
