Schuyler funeral home lost in structure fire
SCHUYLER, Neb. (KLKN) — A funeral home, Svoboda Moravec Johnson Mortuary, lost its Schuyler location in a structure fire overnight.
Svoboda Funeral Home said the heartbreak is present, but they will continue to serve the community from their David City location.
The Schuyler Area Chamber of Commerce emphasized the shared heartbreak of the community following the fire. The chamber said its hearts are with the family, staff and everyone affected.
The Schuyler Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department thanked everyone who helped during the fire. This included the David City Volunteer Fire Department, Nebraska State Fire Marshal’s Office, Schuyler Police Department, Schuyler Department of Utilities and Black Hills Energy.
