Pine Lake Road paving project completed, road reopened

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Lancaster County Engineer Pam Dingman announced the completion of the paving of Pine Lake Road between south 112th and south 148th streets.

The road reopened on Sept. 24.

The reason for the pavement is the increase in traffic due to drivers trying to bypass traffic on Old Cheney Road, according to Lancaster County Engineering. The new additions include asphalt, erosion control devices, rumble strips and improvements to the shoulders on the road.

The cost of the completed construction is estimated at $2,046,964 and was funded with local property tax.
