Lincoln’s Tree Giveaway canceled due to weather

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Today, Lincoln Parks and Recreation was to host a community tree distribution, where residents could come pick up a tree to plant at their homes.

The event has now been canceled due to inclement weather. The event was to coincide with the Hub and Soul Music Series, which has also been canceled.

A rescheduled date has not been set yet.

“While the weather has forced us to postpone the event, our team is committed to ensuring a safe and successful tree distribution,” Mike Comstock, Parks Operations Coordinator, said. “We appreciate the community’s patience and will share updates as soon as the event is rescheduled.”
