No. 1 Nebraska volleyball picks up 10th sweep of season over Ohio State

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – No. 1 Nebraska volleyball wrapped up a nine-game homestand Saturday night at the Devaney Center with a 25-19, 25-10, 25-12 dominant sweep win over Ohio State.

Five Huskers (13-0, 2-0 Big Ten) recorded six or more kills, leading to Big Red hitting .333 in the sweep. Defensively, Nebraska held Ohio State (8-4, 1-1 Big Ten) to a negative hitting percentage (-.010), marking the eighth time this season Nebraska has held an opponent to under .100.

Leading the way on the night for the Huskers were Virginia Adriano, Manaia Ogbechie and Skyler Pierce, who all logged seven terminations. Nebraska also recorded 10 blocks in the match.

Additionally, Teraya Sigler returned to the lineup after missing Friday’s sweep of Rutgers.

The Huskers are next in action Thursday, Oct. 1 on the road at No. 14 Penn State.
