Gov. Pillen signs emergency declaration after flooding
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Gov. Jim Pillen has signed an emergency declaration on Oct. 1 after southeast Nebraska was hit with record-breaking rain.
Pillen joined the Nebraska Emergency Management Agency, Nebraska National Guard and local emergency managers to inspect flooded areas.
Pillen urged Nebraskans to use extreme caution around flooded and damaged areas. He also expressed gratitude to first responders and road crews for working around the clock during the storm.
