Lincoln man arrested for having dozens of videos containing child sexual abuse material
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — On Oct. 6, Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office (LSO) made an arrest after a woman reported that her husband had child pornography on an electronic device.
According to LSO, the material of child sexual abuse was found at Branched Oak Lake, where their camper was parked. The material was found on a thumb drive and a tablet.
Chief Deputy Ben Houchin said that after a search warrant was obtained, dozens of videos were found. The videos contained young children engaged in sexual acts with adults.
Houchin said Timothy Topil, 60, of Lincoln, admitted to possessing and downloading the material from the internet.
Topil was arrested and lodged for possession of child sexual abuse material, which could result in zero to 20 years in prison.
“There was a lot of material, so the investigation is continuing to determine where he got it all and whether any other crimes were committed,” Houchin said. “I can only think of one more case that had as much if not more. Through my 33 years career. There was a lot and it was disturbing material of all types of sexual acts.”
