Larry the Cable Guy talks Professional Bull Riding and Husker football

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Daniel Whitney, otherwise known as Larry the Cable Guy, spoke with Channel 8 to speak about the upcoming Professional Bull Riding (PBR) event that he has high stakes in.

Larry the Cable Guy is a Nebraska native from Pawnee City, and is most known as for his work as a comedian and actor.

Larry the Cable Guy is bringing a $10,000 bounty bull challenge to the event. The event is at Pinnacle Bank Area on Oct. 17 at 7 p.m.

If the winner of the event can ride Larry the Cable Guy’s bull, Chin Splitter, for the full eight seconds, they win $10,000.

“I love Nebraska,” Larry the Cable Guy said. “So it’s fun to bring these events to the state of Nebraska.”

He has around 51 bulls of his own.

Larry the Cable Guy also touched on Nebraska’s upcoming game against Oregon.

“I think we’re going to be Oregon Saturday night,” he said. “I thought we were going to beat Indiana and we should’ve beat Indiana. This is a brand new team. It’s a brand new culture. It’s a brand new attitude. It’s not even close to the teams we used to have here.”

His prediction for the score is Nebraska winning 38-24 against Oregon on Oct. 17.
