Lincoln’s Entertainment Round up

Chess The Rock Opera makes its Lincoln debut. With music by from the creators of the musical group ABBA and lyrics by Tim Rice (Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar) Chess tells a story of love and political intrigue, in which superpowers attempt to manipulate an international chess championship for political ends. From Bangkok to Budapest, the players, lovers, politicians and spies become pawns of the game and make their moves to the pulse of this monumental rock opera. The talented cast is led by professional actor Con O’Shea-Creal a Lincoln native who has performed on Broadway in such shows as Irving Berlin’s White Christmas and Side Show. He also has toured nationally in Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins in which he portrayed the chimney sweep Bert.
