Winter storm impacting some Lincoln, Omaha flights

Several flights from Denver to Lincoln and Omaha were canceled.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A winter storm moving through the midwestern United States is impacting air travel – including some flights at the Lincoln Airport.

According to the airport’s website, at least one arriving flight from Denver has been canceled.

Denver International Airport said on Twitter all of its runways were closed due to blowing snow and poor visibility.

“Our crews are ready to clear the runways once conditions improve. Many flights have already been cancelled so the runway closures have minimal impacts,” the tweet said, with another adding that runways would most likely stayed closed until 6 p.m. Sunday.

The National Weather Service reported more than 19 inches of snow at DIA, the airport said.

Eppley Airfield’s website also listed several canceled flights from Denver as of Sunday afternoon.
