Winter weather may again cause travel problems Monday

Winter weather may again cause problems for portions of central and eastern Nebraska as another ice and snow event takes aim on the region.

The National Weather Service in Omaha has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for most locations along and north of Interstate 80 beginning Monday morning at 6 a.m. and lasting until midnight Monday night.

Lancaster County, along with Seward, York, Knox, Cedar, Thurston, Antelope, Pierce, Wayne, Boone, Madison, Stanton,
Cuming, Burt, Platte, Colfax, Dodge, Washington, Butler, Saunders-, Douglas, Sarpy, Cass, Otoe, and Saline Counties, amongst others, are included in this advisory.

The Channel 8 Eyewitness News weather team says that ice and snow accumulations are the primary hazards with snow between 1 and 2 inches possible for many locations.
