Traffic stop leads to narcotics and weapons arrests

On February 6, shortly after 8 p.m., investigators with the Lincoln/Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force stopped a black 2016 Nissan Altima near 44 & Baldwin after the driver failed to properly signal a turn.

Investigators had information to believe the occupants of the car had a firearm.

They located a handgun concealed under the passenger seat, which both the driver and passenger failed to alert officers to.

The passenger, 46-year-old Darrell Maynard, was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon.

The driver, 39-year-old Shanna Huggins, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine.
