Lincoln Police say failure to use turn signal led to meth bust

Lincoln Police officers said a simple driving infraction resulted in multiple arrests for drug charges early Tuesday morning, according to court documents.

In the documents, an officer said he saw a vehicle fail to properly signal a turn near 11th and E Street, and then again shortly afterwards.

Officers stopped the vehicle, which had three men inside who were identified as Trevor Austin Wright, Peter Isaac Jacobsson, and Alexander Michael Janeke.

The officer reported smelling an odor of burnt marijuana in the car, and asked the men to get out for a search.

During the search, officers found multiple containers containing a total of more than 13 grams of meth and 2.7 grams of marijuana, according to the documents.

Several pipes were also reportedly found in the vehicle.

The officer said in the report that amount of meth is indicative of someone who is dealing drugs, rather than using them.

Wright, Janeke, and Jacobsson were all cited and lodged for possession of a controlled substance.

Jacobsson is also accused of possession of meth with intent to deliver.
