Lincoln City Council approves 20-story building

A 20-story building in Lincoln is officially underway. The Lincoln City Council gave a 7-0 approval for the Lied Place Residences Project on Monday.

The building will be near 11th and Q streets, where the old Applebees restaurant used to be.

It will house a restaurant, office space and several floors for apartments. It will also have 100 parking stalls from the city.

It’s a $30 million project with $25 million coming from private investment and the rest from TIF funding.

Construction is expected to begin this spring.
