Omaha investigates first homicide of the year

Police are investigating Omaha’s first homicide of the year. 

Omaha police say a man was shot near 38th ave. and Burdette st. on Sunday around 1:40 a.m.

Medics took the man to Nebraska Medical Center where he later died. 

Police identified the victim as 21-year-old Jacque Holbert.

The tips leading to an arrest are eligible for a $25,000 reward.
