UPDATE: LPS cancels after-school activities

UPDATE: 

Lincoln Public Schools facilities will close at 4:30 p.m. Friday, LPS said in a Facebook post. 

All activities and events scheduled after that time will be canceled or rescheduled, with the exception of Community Learning Centers and after-school child care programs, which will operate as usual, the district said. 

LPS is continuing to monitor weather, but said all Saturday events were still on as scheduled.

Ashland-Greenwood Public Schools

Bishop Neumann – Wahoo 

Fremont Public Schools

Malcolm Public

Mead Public

North Bend Central

Plattsmouth Public Schools

Raymond Central Public

Schuyler Community Schools

Wahoo Public – No evening activities 

Waverly Public Schools

The following schools have announced early dismissals for Friday, January 18: 

Seward Public Schools – 1:00 p.m. for elementary and 1:15 p.m. for middle and high schools, no evening preschool or evening activities

Beatrice Public Schools – 1:30 p.m., no afternoon preschool, after-school activities, or BLAST, buses could be delayed
