Papillion woman critical after being stuck in elevator

(KMTV) — A woman is in critical condition after she was stuck in an in-home elevator at a Papillion home Thursday afternoon.

According to authorities, the woman was stuck between the elevator deck and the main floor of her home.

Papillion Fire took around 20 minutes to get her free, and officials say they are not sure how long she was trapped for prior to their arrival.

It is unclear how the woman came to be trapped. 

She was transported to Bergan Mercy.

The incident is under investigation by Sarpy County officials.
