Police: Man arrested after leaving personal information in car he rummaged through

A man was arrested for multiple crimes, including rummaging through a car that didn’t belong to him.

Lincoln Police say the owner of the car noticed it had been gone through and called to report it.

While investigating, officers found a backpack containing paperwork that had personal information belonging to 24-year-old Anthony Donald.

Donald admitted the backpack was his, but told police he had permission to go through the car.

A search of Donald turned up a drug scale and a baggie of white powder, which police say Donald put in his mouth and swallowed.

Donald was arrested for entering a motor vehicle without permission, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of a controlled substance.
