Lincoln man receives new furnace in a giveaway

Abe Crable works at KEDPLASMA Center and is loved by all of his coworkers. 

When Crable’s coworkers found out he didn’t have a furnace, some of them bought him a space heater, but they felt like that wasn’t enough. 

On Thursday, Star City Heating and Cooling surprised him a work with the news of a new furnace for his home. 

Star City said they’ve never received so many letters by so many people for one person.

“He’s such a warm, caring guy that takes care of everybody else, and it was like he needs to be taken care of now,” Gayle Lefeber, the woman who nominated Crable, said. 

Crable knew his coworkers nominated him, but he didn’t know he was going to win. He was surprised and thankful for their generosity. 

“The holidays are right around the corner and just the outpouring of my coworkers, it’s just overwhelming and it’s going to mean a lot to our family,” Crable said. 

Star City Heating and Cooling loved giving the new furnace to Crable, and thought it was incredible how loved he is by his coworkers and friends.
