Former Bryan West nurse sentenced for stealing fentanyl

A former Bryan West nurse was sentenced to probation after being found guilty of stealing fentanyl. 

Krista Morgan, 30, was arrested in March after hospital employees noticed some of the drug was missing during an inventory check in January. 

Officials say Morgan had left the hospital before the theft was discovered. 

On Tuesday afternoon, District Judge Darla Ideus sentenced Morgan to two years probation with 87 days in jail and a $1,000 fine.
