An event for young females interested or involved in agriculture

FarmHer is an organization to empower and inspire young women involved or interested in agriculture.

Emily Frenzn, Agriculture Communication major, says, “It’s just an awesome opportunity to celebrate the awesome things were doing and to learn from current professionals in agriculture about their own experiences and what we can kind of do to form that tribe as women in agriculture”

Today’s event was held at the Graduate hotel.

They had several female guest speakers talk about their struggles and successes in agriculture.

Marji Guyler-Alaniz, founder and president of FarmHer, says, “Having a group of women who know their place and feel proud about that and can go spread that is such an amazing thing and I think it can only help us all grow.”

This is only the fourth time the conference has been held.

FarmHer is hoping to do this event all over the country.
