Lincoln Christian marching band organizes flash mob in honor of veterans

Members of the Lincoln Christian marching band formed a flash mob at Scheels on Monday, November 12th.
They surprised everyone by playing theme songs from each branch of military.
One student said doing this small gesture meant a lot to him.
“My dad is a veteran and it’s really cool to see how all of the band kids are wanting to come out and show our support and how our school is supportive of that,” said Nathan Lanka.
Lincoln schools have been celebrating Veterans Day all week.
Many of the student’s families and friends showed up to watch the kids play.
The students told Channel 8 Eyewitness News that they did not practice at Scheels prior to performing.
This is the first flash mob they have done and it went so well that they hope they can do it again next year.
