Morning commute littered with accidents
Friday morning’s commute is showing lots of accidents in Lincoln and the surrounding areas.
Most of the crashes are happening on eastbound I-80 along the bridges, which have little to no traction.
Lincoln Police, Lincoln Fire and Rescue, Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department and Nebraska State Patrol are all out assisting on the accidents.
Most are reporting minor or no injuries.
Street crews have been out around Lincoln this morning, and more crews have been requested for I-80.
A reminder to slow down, leave plenty of room between yourself and other vehicles, and if possible, delay your commute until roadways are safer.
