Tree of Lights campaign kicks off

Salvation Army’s Tree of Light’s campaign began on Wednesday, November 7th.
The event was held near 52nd and O. There was food, hot drinks and even Santa made an appearance.
The campaign helps kick off the holiday season, reminding everyone about either volunteering or making a donation.
The Salvation Army says the money goes a long way.
“We’re trending at an increase need in families. They’re larger, we’re finding families under employed who really need a helping hand,” said Major Mark Anderson.
The Salvation Army is looking for volunteers to help with several projects this holiday season.
