Lincoln magician performs for good cause

It’s national magic week and what better way to celebrate than helping out a local hospital.

Bruce Jacoby has been performing for over 18 years, and this marks his fourth year at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospitals in Lincoln.

From illusions to card tricks, he had a little something up his sleeve for everyone.

He says that even after all the years performing is something he loves.

“When i come to a patient I hope to get a smile and a laugh because smiles and laughs make a big difference in peoples lives. They make people feel better actually, you can heal through laughing and I totally get as much out of it as they do,” Jacoby said.

Jacoby volunteers every Tuesday and performs for the patients at the rehabilitation center.

He and his wife have grown close to the community there and say it’s very rewarding.
