1 person dead, 1 injured in Hebron shooting

The sheriff’s office reports around 3:25 on Saturday morning, both Thayer County Sheriff’s Office and Hebron Rescue were dispatched to the 600 block of Jefferson Ave in reference to a reported shooting.

Authorities say two victims were located upon arrival.

One victim was pronounced dead at the Thayer County Health Services shortly after arrival.

The second victim was airlifted to another medical facility in critical condition.

Neighbors spoke with a reporter on scene who say the two victims are brothers.

Authorities say this is an ongoing investigation.

There is no threat to the public as this was not a random shooting.

The Thayer County Sheriff’s Office says more information may be released later this week.
