Accused shooter waives right to hearing

A Lincoln man accused of shooting his girlfriend was in court Thursday.
Twenty-seven–year–old Rashaun Jones faces first degree assault.
Lincoln Police said he shot Davonnis Wilkinson, in the head last month. The mother of 5 is expected to survive.
Jones waived his right to a preliminary hearing Thursday, which means he is not trying to get the case thrown out before it goes to court.
His next appearance will be November 14th.
