Overnight garage fire in northeast Lincoln

Lincoln Fire & Rescue responded to a fire in a detached garage in northeast Lincoln around 11:30 Wednesday night near 52 & Holdrege. 

It was sparked by combustible materials left sitting next to a grill that was used earlier in the evening.

LFR had the fire out within minutes of arriving, and it did not spread to the house.

There were no injuries and no cars were in the garage when the fire started.

Damage to the garage is estimated at $20,000.
