Woman arrested for DUI

One woman is in custody following a DUI and weapons violation.

On October 18, shortly before 2 a.m., 29-year-old Megan Mumford was stopped near 82nd and O Street after officers observed her swerving over the lane line multiple times.

Mumford opened her glove box to retrieve her paperwork and the officer observed a handgun.

Mumford displayed signs of alcohol impairment and had a BAC of 0.154.

She was cited for DUI, no insurance, negligent driving and a CCW permit violation for not alerting the officer that the firearm was in the vehicle and DUI while in possession of the firearm.
