Walk against breast cancer this Sunday

The American Cancer Society says there will be more than 1,500 new cases of breast cancer this year.
The organization is hosting the 18th Annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk this weekend.
It’s being held at 1 p.m. this Sunday at Holmes Lake Park.
Along with the walk, there will also be vendors and family activities.
The ACS said they have a $140,000 goal. The money goes toward research to fight breast cancer.
The good news? They said breast cancer death rates have dropped, but that they still have work to do.
“A lot of people have increased rates of recurrence,” said Community Development manager Heather Schommer. “And so there’s a lot of things that we’re working on right now, a lot of studies that are trying to reduce those rates of recurrence as well.”
You can sign up for the walk the day of.
