LES arrives in Florida

Lincoln Electrical System crews and City of Grand Island Utilities crews have arrived in Florida. 

They checked in in Tallahassee around 1 a.m. Friday and had a briefing on the damage from Hurricane Michael. 

They will get to work restoring power to affected areas soon.

These crews from LES and Grand Island are part of a larger effort of relief to the area provided by the American Public Power Association.

More than 1,000 electrical utility crews were dispatched to go down to Florida and aid with hurricane relief.
