Officials looking for information after couple attacked by two dogs

Officials are asking for the public’s help to find out more about a dog bite that occurred last week.

Lincoln Animal Control officials say an elderly couple was walking their dog near Woodsdale Blvd. and Cedar Drive around 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3rd.

The man and woman were attacked by two dogs that officials say jumped out the window of a passing vehicle in the area.

Animal Control says a woman got out of the vehicle the dogs jumped from, got them under control and then left the scene.

Officials say the elderly man was bit, and suffered a severe injury to his arm.

Officials say his condition is unknown at this time.

The couple’s dog was treated for multiple bites and is expected to survive.

Animal Control said one of the attacking dogs was described as white with black on its face.

The other dog was described as reddish or tan colored.

Officials do not know the vaccination status of either dog and want to talk to the owners.
