National Coffee with a Cop Day
Members of the Lincoln Police Department were out for coffee and conversation on Wednesday, October 3, for National Coffee with a Cop Day.
Both Lamar’s Donuts locations here in Lincoln, as well as Meadowlark Coffee and Espresso, were host to the event from 7-9 a.m.
Lincoln residents were welcome to come, enjoy a free hot coffee and donut, and chat with local law enforcement about issues facing the community.
Sergeant John Walsh says events like these are a great way for officers to get to know a larger group of people in Lincoln.
“It’s good to see those folks and get to hear their viewpoint on things, and glad to see a lot of support coming our way as well,” said Walsh.
UNL PD is also participating in National Coffee with a Cop Day. They will be at the East Union from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the City Union from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
