Fire in northeast Lincoln causes extensive damage

A fire in northeast Lincoln caused an estimated $100,000 in damage to a warehouse Sunday evening.

Shortly after 6:30 p.m., Lincoln Fire & Rescue responded to an asphalt production warehouse owned by Cather & Sons Construction.

LFR had the fire contained in about 10 minutes.

The blaze started after an oil barrel outside the building ignited and spread.

No one was injured.
