Damsel in Defense offers personal safety items
It’s important to take precautions if you are ever alone or feel unsafe.
Damsel in Defense is a company who’s mission is to equip, empower and educate women to protect themselves and their families.
I talked to a Damsel Pro who joined the company’s journey due to her past.
"I am a two time victim so as a child and in a second marriage and so that is my why to hopefully spread the word out," said DeeAnn Larsen.
DeeAnn told me that a violent crime happens every 26 seconds. Damsel in Defense offers a wide variety of defense products.
Everything from conceal and carry purses, to emergency flashlights and wallets that are protected from those trying to scan your credit card information.
With the recent assault on Mopac Trail, DeeAnn recommends their product called the ARMee band which can hold your phone and other items such as pepper spray.
There most popular items are pepper spray and stun guns. The pepper spray leaves residue on a person for approximately 2 weeks and can be seen with a black light.
Damsel also demonstrates how its products are used to show people where to hit or spray.
DeeAnn wants to encourage everyone to be equipped and prepared even if you think you are safe.
"I’d rather be safe than sorry," said Larsen.
