This year was the third annual Camp for a Cause. The cause this year was Parkinson’s.
Around 40 girls took part.
They did basketball drills, and then took a break to listen to a guest speaker who has parkinson’s, and is a former athlete.
Jennifer Deets says, "I was just so excited the fact that girls like this have this opportunity to come here and then the character education, and community piece with Parkinson’s or whatever cause that they choose."
Jennifer has Parkinson’s, but it doesn’t stop her from teaching art at Lincoln High.
The camp raised more than 500 dollars to help find a cure for Parkinson’s.
