UPDATE: 20th Annual Zoo Fest

UPDATE:
The 20th annual Zoo Fest kicked off Friday afternoon.
Zoo Bar owner Peter Watters said it’s amazing to see the venue going strong after 45 years.
"Most live music venues don’t last that long, you know," Waters said. "So we’ve been fortunate. Lincoln’s supported it and, you know, the people of Lincoln have really supported us over the years, so it’s been great."
There was plenty of live music, including rock and roll, country, blues, soul and funk; and a lot of food and drink.
Conrad Good said he’s come to every Zoo Fest for the past 30 years.
He said between the music and the atmosphere, there’s something for everyone.
"You don’t have to be a hard core music fan to have a good time down here…and there’s a lot of fun," Good said. "If you enjoy music and you want to bring your kids down — perfect place to bring them. The whole family can enjoy it."
Friday was just the first of a two–day event. So if you missed the festivities, Zoo Fest continues Saturday at 1 p.m. with seven other artists. Tickets are $25.
