Wheelchair stolen from man outside Community Center

$1,000 motorized wheelchair missing from outside of the F Street Community Center

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Wednesday night around 11:30 pm a man parked his black motorized wheelchair on the sidewalk in front of the F Street Community Center and when he went to retrieve it this morning at 7:30 am, it was missing.

After reporting the wheelchair missing, officers reviewed security video footage that revealed an individual riding the wheelchair away from the recreation center. The individual took the wheelchair across 13th street and then continued eastbound.

The wheelchair is estimated to cost around $1,000 and the investigation is currently ongoing.
