Husker Pantry opens second location on East Campus to serve more students

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A second ‘Husker Pantry’ opened on East Campus Monday in an effort to reach more students in need.
The pantry is stocked full of groceries and supplies for UNL students that may be low on food or funds.
“We know that students around, living on east campus use the pantry on city campus so we wanted to make it so they had resources that was a little bit closer to them to help reduce those barriers to access,” Megan Patel, Program Coordinator said.
The pantry serves around 200 students per week.
The new ‘Husker Pantry’ is located inside the Dairy Store on East Campus (1625 Arbor) and is open to all students with their valid ‘N’ card. Students are welcome to stop by anytime from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
