Nebraska Task Force 1 Update
NE-TF1 gave an update after being sent to Louisiana to assist after Hurricane Ida

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska Task Force 1 gave an update from Louisiana after crews were sent down there to assist with rescue efforts after Hurricane Ida swept through the area.
Brad Thavenet, the program manager of NE-TF1, told media that the crew has been relieved of their duties in Louisiana, and are resting until they hear their next orders from FEMA.
The bulk of the duties that NE-TF1 assisted with in Louisiana included search and rescue efforts, damage assessments, and secondary rescues.
The team isn’t sure what is next for them, they could come back to Lincoln, or they might be reassigned by FEMA to another state.
NE-TF1 is in good spirits and they are ready to continue helping and making a difference wherever they are sent to help.
