Investigation into reported ‘hit list’ at Beatrice Middle School

An investigation is underway after law enforcement in Beatrice were made aware of a situation where a student reportedly had a “hit list,” according to school administrators.

Beatrice Public Schools Superintendent Jason Alexander said in a statement Beatrice Middle School staff were made aware of the situation Thursday.

No “hit list” has been recovered at this time, Alexander said, but school officials are working with Beatrice police to investigate.

The student has been removed from the school until the investigation is complete, Alexander said.

Authorities are asking anyone with factual information to report it to the school administrative team or to law enforcement.
